A multi-issue progressive advocacy organization approached Semcasting looking for support on a display advertising campaign to specifically target seniors in Missouri’s 4th congressional district.
The objective of the campaign was to raise awareness about a House of Representatives' vote to change Medicare coverage—a decision that threatened to increase costs for Medicare beneficiaries. The objective of the campaign was to generate awareness online and encourage senior citizens to contact the Representative’s office immediately to voice their concern.
Using Semcasting’s patented automated predictive modeling platform and Smart Zones’ technology, the addresses of seniors within Missouri’s 4th congressional district were identified based on varied demographic and socio-economic attributes.
With the support of Smart Zone’s unique targeting methodology, the campaign was able to accurately target seniors within Missouri’s 4th congressional district with no use of cookies, inferred data or tracking, enabling them to reach nearly 100 percent of qualified senior citizens online. In just two weeks, Smart Zones outperformed the average political campaign click-through rate (CTR) and at the end of the two weeks, the campaign had 900,000 total impressions, an average CTR of .38 percent and a Cost-Per-Click (CPC) averaging around $2.67.
