Our Risk-Adjusted Health Insurance System

How to Match & Reach Consumers with the Right Health Insurance Program

The Affordable Care Act has required healthcare insurers to offer policy options for a wide variety of patients and age groups. With the annual open enrollment period approaching, it is vital that insurance companies begin matching consumers in different locations to plans that meet their coverage needs at a manageable level of risk.

Semcasting Medical Healthcare Data (MHD) is a suite of data solutions that outlines over 800,000 health care providers, over 120,000 hospital and clinics, and the distribution profiles of over 1,500 brand and generic drugs. Combined, the data generates a Health Index rank of patient populations by their overall health and by the top individual disease state categories, ranging from arthritis to stroke.

Semcasting MHD provides insurers with one additional tool to prioritize their customer acquisition based on the historical medical engagement levels of patient populations.

All health and demographic data presented within the selectable Index are maintained at three levels of geographic summarization in order to protect consumer privacy: DMA, Zip5, and Zip6. HIPAA health privacy recommendations are strictly followed to ensure that no health information is ever linked to the individuals or households, and there is no use of online cookies or tracking in the collection or mapping of Semcasting MHD.

When linked with Semcasting Smart Zones®, any consumers identified by the MHD suite can also be targeted in offline and online marketing campaigns.

Smart Zones is an IP targeting technology that uses a twice-patented system to match Internet delivery points to demographically-related household or business location clusters. While a cookie-based onboarding service may be able to match 30% of an offline list to online targets, Semcasting typically returns an 80-90%+ match.

With Smart Zones and MHD, Semcasting offers a process for prospect qualification and omni-channel outreach in channels such as programmatic online display, email, social, mobile, direct mail, billboard, programmatic TV, and more.  For more information, download the Semcasting Medical Healthcare Data overview.
